Cancellations Policies in San Blas Islands

GUNA YALA EXPLORER Your contract with GUNA YALA EXPLORER Tours: Our clients accept that at the moment of making any reservation payment with GUNA YALA EXPLORER, this contract between both parties enters into force. GUNA YALA EXPLORER Tours reserves the right not to accept reservations at its discretion. All reservations must be requested and will be confirmed through the official channels of this service provider company, and by its accredited personnel. To be reserved, all services will require to be previously paid or guaranteed, in accordance with what is agreed in each case, and periods are established to be able to cancel according to the following way:

W𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀.⁣


Guna Yala Explorer at the time of your reservation asks for a deposit to be able to reserve your cabin, bedroom, room on the islands, 4x4 car transportation and boats transfers.⁣

Dear Visitor, you must have to know that most of the islands have between 3 to 15 cabins, they are not regular hotels that have more than 100 rooms to 300 rooms, therefore their cancellation policy is according to the season.⁣

A minimum deposit must be coordinated with us, if you stay 1 night  /2 Nights it is $35.00 to $50.00 per person /more than 4 Nights $100- 300 per person ( Depend the Island)⁣

This deposit is not refundable in case of cancellation (Not more than 90 days)⁣



REFUND POLICY – IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) Basically, refunds will not be made in the following situations:⁣

✔️When tourists decide to leave the island before the scheduled date. We can try to arrange the departure of the tourists before the agreed day and time, but the payment will not be refunded.⁣
✔️When tourists decide not to go to the daily tour that has been previously paid and scheduled.⁣
✔️When the weather conditions are not to the taste of the tourist.⁣
✔️When tourists are not on time at the agreed site and miss the exit. ⁣

OTHER REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICIES:⁣
✔️Deposit refunds will be made when a guest cancels their reservation 7 days before departure *5:30am* (If the cancellation is made after 7 days, no refund will be made). Apply for Low Season⁣
✔️High Season: Has to pay  a deposit , in case of cancellation has to made 60 days before the arrival, ⁣
✔️Balance in case of High Season has to be paid 3  days before your arrival by credit card⁣
✔️If Guna Yala Explorer cancels the visit of tourists when it is unsafe to make the trip to the islands and the refund will be made.⁣
✔️Refunds for time not spent on the island will be made when the tourist must leave the island early due to a medical emergency.⁣


𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗬:⁣
In case of rain or light rain, it is assumed that the tour will take place as stipulated in your reservation sent by Guna Yala Explorer unless you receive a cancellation notification from the company⁣

Guna Yala Explorer will cancel the tour in case of heavy rain or extreme weather that puts the safety of passengers at risk (this includes storms, hurricanes, floods.⁣

Our priority is to implement effective security measures and any of our tours are subject to weather conditions. Circumstances such as storms or currents can prevent the tour (only rain is not a reason to cancel the tour).⁣

In case of adverse weather conditions we will try to change the date of your excursion, or change the itinerary⁣

Between December and April, the Guna Yala Islands are characterized by having normal trade winds of the time, which makes the tide a little rough, it is not a reason to cancel the tour and our captains have many years of experience sailing in this type of normal trade wind weather between December - April⁣


⁣​In the case of Excursions (Tours) and Transfers: (Applies to Day Trips) Any request to modify the original itinerary must be timely notified by the client to the official Reservation channels of this company within 24 hours of the start of the service, otherwise there will be no possibility of making the change. Between 48 hours the service may be modified at no cost, and in case of cancellation the return will be only 50% of the amount paid for the total Original package. If in such a case, Guna YALA Explorer has only received the Minimum Payment for Overnight services between $35.00 per person and $60.00 per person, it IS NOT REFUNDABLE for Administrative Expenses. ​

IMPORTANT NOTE: All cancellations must be informed by email with acknowledgment of receipt to: Circuits and tourist packages. - Tours and Transfers. - info@gunayalaexplorer.com The tour operator also reserves the right to cancel or make changes to the itinerary as it deems appropriate or necessary, without prior notice. It also reserves the right to use the services of the companies affiliated with the tour operator if it deems it necessary. In case of providing a service with one of our providers, their insurance and cancellation policies will apply.
