Reservation and Cancellation Policies –

GUNA YALA EXPLORER

Your contract with GUNA YALA EXPLORER Tours: Our clients accept that at the moment of making any reservation payment with GUNA YALA EXPLORER, this contract between both parties enters into force.  GUNA YALA EXPLORER Tours  reserves the right not to accept reservations at its discretion. 

All reservations must be requested and will be confirmed through the official channels of this service provider company, and by its accredited personnel.  To be reserved, all services will require to be previously paid or guaranteed, in accordance with what is agreed in each case, and periods are established to be able to cancel according to the following way:

In the case of Lodging and Transfer Services to the San Blas Islands.

• If the reservation is canceled 2 months (60 days) in advance or more, there will be no penalty.

• If the reservation is canceled between 30 and 59 days before the trip, a 30% penalty of the total cost of the service will be charged if you have paid 100% of the total package by credit card.

• If the reservation is canceled up to two weeks before the trip (before 15 days), 50% of the total amount of the reservation will be taken as a penalty, and finally, if the reservation is canceled within 7 days before the start of services, or is not properly canceled causing a no-show, the penalty will be 100%.

• In such a case, the Company in this case Guna Yala Explorer has only agreed with you a minimum Payment depending on the package between $40.00 - $60.00 per person, it is NOT Refundable in any type of Cancellation Case.

In the case of Excursions (Tours) and Transfers: (Applies to Day Trips)

•  

• Any request to modify the original itinerary must be timely notified by the client to the official Reservation channels of this company within 24 hours of the start of the service, otherwise there will be no possibility of making the change.

• Between 24 hours and 48 hours, the service may be modified at no cost, and in case of cancellation, the return will be only 75% of the amount paid for the total of the Original package.

• If in such case  Guna YALA Explorer has only received the Minimum Payment for Passage services between $35.00 per person and $60.00 per person, it IS NOT REFUNDABLE for Administrative Expenses.

• If in such a case you have paid 50% or 100% of the total of your package, a partial refund of the same applies in such case you have decided to cancel your tour 48 hours in advance. Less Managed Expenses.

RAIN POLICY:

  In case of drizzle or light rain, it is assumed that the tour will take place as stipulated in your reservation sent by Guna Yala Explorer unless you receive a cancellation notice from the company

  Guna Yala Explorer will cancel the tour in case of heavy rain or extreme weather that puts the safety of passengers at risk (this includes heavy rain, lightning, floods, etc.).

Our priority is to implement effective security measures and any of our tours is subject to weather conditions. Circumstances like Storms  or currents can prevent the excursion

  (only rain is not a reason to cancel the tour).

In case of adverse weather conditions we will try to change the date of your excursion, or change the itinerary

Between December and April, the Guna Yala Islands are characterized by having normal trade winds of the time, which makes the tide a little rough, it is not a reason to cancel the tour and our captains have many years of experience sailing in this type of normal trade wind weather between December - April

Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or by quick message.

By reading this NOTE if you agree you can proceed with your reservation.

Before booking your stay in the islands of San Blas it is important for us that you are clear in several situations.

• Guna Yala Explorer is a specialist in Day Tours, Pasadías.

• The Lodges are managed, attended directly by the owners of the islands, restaurant service, tours, etc.

• In the Lodgings You will not find people who speak English around you may feel that there is no communication between the Lodge and the Islands.

• The islands are an excellent place to relax, and to know the paradise that surrounds us.

• The cars that transport all tourists are shared between 6 passengers + the driver.

• It is important if you take your Lodging the Lunch Times are from 12:00 - 1:30 pm, Dinner from 6.00 pm- 7:30 pm- Breakfasts from 7:00 am - 8:30 am

• Schedules outside of the regular NO room service service and they do not provide food services outside the established hours

• Visit the Islands of San Blas It is not for everyone in terms of accommodation.

• You are looking for a schedule between 5 a 6 am depending where you are staying in Panama City, and you will arrive at the port between 8 a 9 am where you will have to wait approximately 45 minutes to get to the island.

• Guna Yala Explorer is just the link to help you book with ease the place where you want to visit, we will coordinate only the transfer by car, the boat and your Lodging and supervise that everything Will right for your best service.

• Tours you can buy directly with the owners of the Island.

• The bathrooms of most places are shared with other visitors, which makes it quite annoying and unpleasant, we are honest the cleanliness of the bathrooms is not the best.

• Cabins or islands are NOT conventional hotels where you are checked in, there is a receptionist or concierge who will give you instructions, visiting the islands of Guna Yala is as if you were in a basic HOSTAL 100% of your time.

• We offer facilities with private bathrooms at an extra cost but the rooms are limited.

• The meals on the islands are NOT varied, regularly it is only 1 menu per day and it is the catch of the day.

• THE SAN BLAS ISLANDS DO NOT HAVE RESORTS, ALL INCLUDED.
